Personal Response : Earthquakes

Hi everyone,hope you are enjoying your holidays.today im writing about earthquakes.:D


An earthquake is casued when two blocks of the earth suddenly slip past one another.the surface where they slip is called the fault or fault plane.the location below the earth's surface where the earthquake stats is called the hypocenter while the location directly above it is the epicenter.during an earthquake,get under a desk or table and hang onto it or move into a hallway or get against an inside wall if you are indoors.if you are outdoors,run into the open and away from buildings,power lines,chimmneys and anything else that might fall on you.if you are driving stop and move your car as far out from traffic as possible.stay inside your car until the shaking stops.scientists cannot predict earthquakes.however,when there is an earthquake,animals might behave strangely or move out of their homes.this is probably because they can sense changes in the earth better than us.
Earthquakes have occured in many places such as:Africa,Asia,Europe,China,North & South America and the South Pacific.these are only some fo the many countries that have been affected by earthquakes.i think these countries have earthquakes as they are more earthquake-prone.i think there will be an earthquake in Singapore as Singapore is still a young nation.i hope not though...
